WE have just started our breeding program. Our first Malcom foal wa born in April 2007. The foal is from our very versatle mare Hviske. (See thefor sale page f r information on Yeti) Based as we are in southern California our resources are limited. Therefore it is our goal to make sure each foal has the best opportunity to be a success. We pick parents of known performance bloodlines and then put more training into them to assure oursleves that we are breeding athletic Fjords who have the temperament and bodies to be fun to ride and a success for their owners.

Hviske has proven herself as a first level dressage horse and also as a gentle enough horse for beginners to trail ride in the fjords of Jamul. She also assisted 3 boys age 11-14 to earn their horsemanship Merit badge. Hviske's athleticism and versatilty come as no surprise. Her sire Valbjorn was a CDE winner and her dam Misty was ridden, jumped and driven in many different situations.
We are excited about our newest mare Nika, who arrived in January 2007. Nika is expecting a foal in late December 2007. Nika is to our knowlege, the only Flotren daughter in California. Her dam, Annica, was an excellent eventing horse at the novice level. We think she will be an excellent cross with Malcom, and we also are enjoying working with her under sadde. Before taking off a couple of months for maternity leave, Nika had progressed from really green broke, to having 3 good gaits under saddle, knowing her leads and going on some trail rides. She also helped teach some lessons to intermediate level riders while learning. We think she is going to be a great assett to our breeding program.
